How to Put WordPress in Maintenance Mode with a Plugin- Install and activate the WP Maintenance Mode plugin.
- Go to Settings > WP Maintenance Mode.
- Click on the Design tab to customize the maintenance mode page that will appear to users when visiting your site when it's under maintenance.
